The Turks and Caicos Islands consist of 40 islands, 8 of which are inhabited, and are located in the Atlantic Ocean, southeast of Miami. The islands have one of the longest coral reefs in the world, making it an excellent diving destination. They are also characterized by white sandy beaches, which in total cover 230 miles, and crystal clear waters. Depending on the island, the terrain can vary from lush green vegetation to sand dunes.
